Champaign Clippers is a throwback to vintage baseball

Before baseball became the popular game we know today, in the mid-19th century an early iteration of the game known as “base ball,” yes two words, was the game of the century.

On August 26, the Champaign Clippers will host a vintage base ball game at Weaver Park. Recently, Brian Mackey, host of The 21st show asked Clippers Co-captains Jed Willard and Doug Burgett to explain why this draws so many people.
