Closings, delays and remote days for January 25

Closed

Decatur Public Schools: no school for students on  January 25. All athletic and school activities are also canceled. This ‘snow day’ will be made up at the end of the year.

Lake Land College in Mattoon has announced it will be closed on January 25.

Richland Community College in Decatur has announced its campus is closed for Wednesday, January 25.

Parkland College: all campus roads, classes, programs, offices, and services are canceled or closed on January 25.

Paxton Buckley Loda school district (CUSD10) says all practices, meetings and activities for Wednesday morning (Jan. 25) are canceled. 

Schlarman Academy in Danville will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 25, with all classes, after-school activities, practices and athletic contests canceled. 

Tuscola school district CUSD # 301 will not have school on Wednesday, January 25. Extra curricular activities will be decided by noon.

Arcola school district 306 has canceled classes for today.

Arthur school district 305 has canceled classes for Jan. 25, with a decision on athletics to be made by noon.

Remote Learning

Danville District 118 Schools: remote learning with Chromebooks and supplemental learning materials on January 25.

University High School in Urbana will have a remote learning day on January 25.

Salt Fork school district (CUSD) 512 in the Jamaica/Catlin/Sidell area of Vermilion County will have an E-Learning day on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Students do NOT need to log in for live sessions. Teachers will either send home assignments or upload assignments to Google Classroom or Seesaw.

The High School of St. Thomas More in Champaign has announced a Remote Learning Day for Wednesday, Jan. 25.

Bement school district CUSD #5 will have a remote learning day on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

St. Joseph-Ogden High School and St. Joseph Grade and Middle School will conduct E-Learning classes on Wednesday. No extracurricular activities or events. 

Open

Meanwhile, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Chancellor Robert J. Jones says the campus will remain open and classes will meet as usual on January 25.

Urbana School District 116 says classes are in session Wednesday, January 25, but there will be no bus service on rural routes and no before school child care. Click here for the district’s full message.

The Champaign Unit 4 school district says class is in session Wednesday, but there is no bus service for rural routes or the Champaign Early Childhood Center for the day.

Urbana Park District will open two hours late on January 25. All park district facilities will be open at 10:00 a.m.
