BRADLEY, Ill. — Police say a woman wanted in the fatal shooting of one police officer and the wounding of another at a northern Illinois hotel surrendered to police hours after a man also suspected in the shooting was arrested in Indiana.
Illinois State Police say 26-year-old Xandria Harris of Bradley, Illinois, turned herself in Friday afternoon to Bradley police. Harris’ attorney, Phil Haddad, declined to discuss her alleged involvement in the shooting, but told WLS-TV she maintains her innocence.
Hours before she surrendered, 26-year-old Darius Sullivan was arrested at a northern Indiana home. He is suspected in Wednesday’s shooting that killed Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic, a 49-year-old Bradley police officer, and critically wounded her 27-year-old partner, Officer Tyler Bailey.

CHICAGO — Authorities say a man suspected in the deadly shooting of one police officer and wounding of another at a northern Illinois hotel has been taken into custody.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Glen Fifield says Darius Sullivan was arrested Friday morning at a home in North Manchester, Indiana. He says Sullivan surrendered to a SWAT team that was assisting the U.S. Marshalls with a search warrant for the property about 110 miles east of where the shooting occurred late Wednesday night.
The arrest came a day after Illinois authorities warned that the 25-year-old man should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities are still searching for 26-year-old Xandria A. Harris in connection with the shootings.

BRADLEY — Authorities are searching for two people believed to have been involved in the fatal shooting of one police officer and wounding of another at a northern Illinois hotel.
The Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that two Bradley police officers were shot late Wednesday while speaking to people in a room at a Comfort Inn.
The Bradley Police Department says the officers were taken to nearby hospitals, where one died and the other was listed in critical condition.
The county coroner identified the slain officer as 49-year-old Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic.
An arrest warrant was issued for 25-year-old Darius D. Sullivan and police say they are also searching for a person of interest in the case.
