URBANA – Several streets in Champaign-Urbana will be closed for the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon Race Weekend. Organizers say the best way to avoid closures is to drive along Neil Street on the west, University on the north, High Cross Road on the east, and Curtis Road on the south.

On Friday, several streets on the University of Illinois campus will be closed for the Christie Clinic Illinois 5-K Race. The starting point is on Oak Street south of St. Mary’s Road in Champaign. It winds around Gregory Drive, Green, and 6th Streets before ending at Memorial Stadium.

On Saturday, there will be road closures in Champaign and Urbana for the Christie Clinic Illinois Half-Marathon.  The starting point is First Street at St. Mary’s Road in Champaign. It flows north to Green Street, winds its way through Campustown in Urbana eventually winding its way to Race Streets, Pennsylvania, and ending at Memorial Stadium.
