Indiana takes a first — and long — shot at acquiring parts of Illinois
Indiana is taking a first step toward merging parts of Illinois into its state. Indiana Gov. Mike Braun plans to sign legislation approved this week that would create a commission tasked with recommending whether to change the border between the two states.
